Insulation Improvement

Insulation works take up to two months after the assessment. If the Warm Front assessor indentifies that your property needs any new or extra insulation and you will be informed by the warm front installer who visits your property.

Under the Warm Front Scheme, one may receive one or more of insulation improvements which are stated below

Loft Insulation

Advantages

Up to 20% of the heat in an average home escapes through the loft space, so loft insulation will reduce the amount of heat escaping and keep your warmer in your home
It will keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer
It will reduce ceiling condensation and mould growth in the rooms below
By reducing the amount of energy needed to keep your home warm you will reduce your energy bills

Draughtproofing

Advantage

Draughtproofing will reduce the amount of heat escaping from your windows and doors. This will help to keep the heat inside your home

Cavity-wall Insulation

Advantage

You could save up to 33% of the heat that is usually lost through walls in a property which is not insulated

Hot-water-tank jacket

Advantage

This will prevent heat escaping from your hot-water tank and keep your water hot for longer
